Ingredients
-
1 lb. Ground Turkey
1 large Egg
1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast
1 tsp Salt
Other herbs and spices, per the flavour profile you want to build
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, beat the egg, salt and any spices of your choice with a fork.
Add ground turkey, nutritional yeast, and some of the breadcrumbs.
Mix with your hands, adding more breadcrumbs, a little at a time, until you get the texture you want (not as wet as meat and egg only, but still moist, and easily easily forms into a patty).
Break into 4 equal pieces and form 4 patties, placing each in a lightly oiled pan, or on a baking sheet or broiling pan.
Bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes (flip them halfway through!), or until the burgers are 160°F when you stick a thermometer in from the side.
*If you want to make cheeseburgers, add sliced cheese to the tops of the burgers, and place under broiler to melt the cheese.
Serving Size: Make 4 burgers
