Ingredients

1 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
1 tbsp instant yeast
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
3 1/2 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
2 tbsp Butter, unsalted , melted
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Butter, unsalted
Tips
These make large hamburger size buns, but you could make them into slider buns too, shape into 16 buns instead.
Directions
Proof the yeast by mixing 1 cup of lukewarm water, sugar and yeast in mixing bowl. Let sit in warm place for 10 minutes. Mixture should be foamy.
Use a dough hook to mix in 1-2 cups of flour, 2 tbps melted butter, egg and salt. When incorporated, add rest of the flour 1/2 cup at a time until dough is no longer sticky. Knead dough with hook or by hand for about 5 minutes. It should be soft and smooth.
Cover dough and let rise for 1-2 hours, until doubled.
Deflate dough, divide into 8 pices. Shape into each piece into ball, then flatten to 3" across. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
Cover and let rise for another hour, until puffy.
Bake buns in preheated 375 *F oven for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with remaining 2 tbsp butter.
Cool on rack. Slice and serve.
