Ingredients
-
1 Tbsp Sun Luck Pure Sesame Oil
1/2 cup Popcorn White Raw Unpopped kernels
Tips
bag says 2Tbsp raw kernels = 5 cups popped, but when I cooked it, I used 1/2c raw kernels (=8 tbsp.) and it made/yields about 10 cups when popped with the oil.
So this is the nutrition information for the actual yield when I made it.
Directions
put oil and 3 kernels in covered pan over medium heat. when kernels pop, add 1/2 cup kernels, cover pan and shimmy/shake pan to distribute kernels. periodically shimmy during cooking.
when kernels begin to pop, crack lid just a bit to release steam so it doesn't make the popcorn soggy from steaming. continue shimmy every few seconds until all popped, then remove from heat and put in a bowl so kernels stop cooking and don't scorch.
Add spices to taste in the other bowl.
