Introduction

Rooibos (redbush), chamomile, and lots of lactose free milk. A very African way to drink your rooibos.

I add a portion of honeybush tea leaves to mine as well, but it’s hard to come by outside of it’s native growing area.

Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 bag rooibos tea, organic
    1 bag chamomile tea, organic
    60g lactose free milk

Tips

1. Rooibos tea’s flavours develop more fully if the water is boiling hot when it hits the leaves, but chamomile prefers slightly cooler water, so add the chamolile teabag only after you’ve poured the water over the rooibos.
2. If you don’t like milk, try 2-5ml lemon juice instead. Lemon has a strangely marvellous effect on rooibos tea - it brings out an unmistakable hint of honey in the fragrance.

Directions

1. Steep the tea bags for 4 minutes in boiled water.
2. Squeeze and remove the bags, then add milk.
