Tips

For sugar content: 3tbsp if you don't care for sweetness in ham. When it was warm, it didn't seem too sweet. But when cold, the sweetness was more apparent. I thought it might be too sweet, but we had cold ham sandwiches with homemade vegan parm and the sweet/salty thing was really on point at 4tbsp.

We ate some immediately out of the oven, but it was better after several hours rest in the fridge.

I like to slice this pretty thin with a knife and use it like deli slices on a sandwich with whatever condiments I feel like. For cold sandwiches, I've typically used vegan mayo and dijon mustard with some fresh ground pepper on a couple slices of bread. This was before I started using SparkPeople, though, so I might modify things a bit.

Directions

1. Heat oven to 325°F.

2. Add all wet ingredients to blender and whiz until smooth.

3. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.

4. Add blender ingredients and mix until well combined.

5. Cover and let sit 15 minutes.

6. Wrap dough in a roast or log shape with 2 layers of foil. (Dough is wet and hard to shape. Sprinkle with profanities as needed to help with shaping.)

7. Bake 2 hours.

How appropriate did you find the serving size? I usually just cut some slices from the end, so was guessing.
