    For Cake:

    1 duncan hines signature lemon supreme cake mix
    1 - 3 oz box lemon jell-o
    0.75 cup canola oil
    0.5 cup water
    4 large eggs

    For Glaze:
    2 cup Domino's Confectioners Sugar, sifted
    0.33 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
    2 tbsp Kerrygold Pure Irish Butter Unsalted, melted
    1 tbsp water


i like to reserve 1 tbsp of the cake mix to dust the pan so that the cake doesn't come out with white on it from the flour.


preheat oven following box recommendations for type of pan.

grease and flour pan.

in large bowl, stir together cake mix and box of jello. make a large well in center and pour in oil, water, and eggs. beat on low until blended. then increase to medium speed and beat for four minutes.

pour into prepared pan.

bake in preheated oven for approx 40 minutes in a tube pan. follow box recommendations for other types of pans. bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. allow to cool slightly.

while cooling, make glaze.

for glaze, combine confectioner's sugar and lemon juice. then add melted butter and water. stir till smooth.

poke holes in cake and pour glaze over the top.

i like to add a lemon cream cheese glaze over the top. the recipe is here in my box.
