Ingredients
-
8 serving Fish (Frozen) - Tilapia Fillets - Walmart (1 serving = 1 (4 oz) fillet)
3 serving Cheerios Honey Nut Cereal (1 cup)
2 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions
Crush 3 c honey nut cheerios in gallon zip-lock bag until small crumb like texture.
Beat two eggs in deeper bowl. Dip both sides of each filet into egg then shake in cereal bag until nicely coated. (I did these two at a time to ensure nice coating) Use 1 tbsp oil of heated oil for each two fillets. Brown on both sides well. (I used my air fryer and didn't use quite that much oil... but for guesstimating reasons figure tablespoon would be about right for the size and thickness). It took about 5 min each side for each set of two fillets. The cereal added just enough sweetness that wasn't over baring with sweet but gave the fish such a unique taste I know this will become a family favorite. I paired with mac and cheese and corn on the cob... Yummy!!!
