Ingredients

    1.0 serving 1 Med. Green Bell Pepper
    1.0 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw
    1.87 cup Tomato Sauce, Hunts Sauce
    0.75 cup Tomato Paste
    16.0 oz Conecuh Hickory Smoked Sausage
    3.8 cup red kidney beans, canned
    3.0 cup White Rice, medium grain
    1.0 tbsp Smart Balance Light Spreadable Butter & Canola Oil

Directions

Cut sausage into bite sized pieces and brown. In the meantime, chop up one onion and one bell pepper. Add those and cook for another 6-7 minutes or until onions and bell pepper are soft. Add in canned ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, lower the temperature to about a 3 (medium low heat) and cover. Allow flavors to mix for at LEAST 30 minutes. In a separate pot, follow instructions for making 3 cups of rice while waiting.
