Introduction

Great side dish for Thanksgiving, similar you stuffing. Savory spices can be varied as can the veggies inside. As a bonus, if you have leftovers, you can slice in the morning and fry in butter and eat with maple syrup for breakfast. Great side dish for Thanksgiving, similar you stuffing. Ingredients

    In a heavy pan sauté
    1 tbsp Olive Oil and
    0.25 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw until almost clear. Then add 200 grams Mushrooms, fresh. Cook till brown and tender. Pour off liquid and reserve.

    In microwave cook 100 grams Asparagus, fresh and cleaned.

    In a large bowl, combine dry spices with eggs and milk and beat well.
    2 tbsp Italian Spice
    0.5 tsp Salt
    0.5 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne
    6 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    2 cup Milk, nonfat (skim milk)

    To egg and spice mix, add 4 oz (112 grams) KRAFT EXPERTLY PAIRED FOR FIZZA CHEESES.

    9 serving Daves Killer Bread - Good Seed

    To prepare the casserole dish, use PAM spray in a 9 x 13 inch dish. Layer half the mushrooms and onions on the bottom. Lay out 3 overlapping slices of bread. Pour about 1 cup of egg/milk/cheese mix over bottom layer.
    Lay out mushrooms again, 3 more breads, and another cup of egg mix.
    Lay out half of the asparagus with 3 remaining slices over them. Lay the last asparagus on top. Then pour the last of the egg and cheese mix overall.

    Stab the knife into the layers to make sure all juices permeate.
    Cook for about 40 minutes at 350F preheated.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F. Cook for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean if inserted in center. Let set for 5 minutes and it’ll finish cooking. It will puff up nicely! Serving Size: Makes six 3” x 3” pieces.
