Ingredients

    1/4 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    2 tsp Baking Powder
    1 tsp Baking Soda
    1/4 Cup Honey
    2-1/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    2 tbsp Melted Butter or Melted Coconut Oil
    2 Large Brown Eggs
    1/2 cup unsweetened plain Apple Sauce
    5 extra small Bananas to mash into 1-1/2 cups
    1/2 Cup Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Chips
    1 tbsp, unsifted Powdered Sugar

Directions

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 9 x 5 loaf pan with unbleached parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork or a masher. Add eggs, applesauce, honey, melted butter or coconut oil, vanilla, baking powder, baking soda and salt; fork whisk to combine).
Add flour then the chocolate chips and stir gently just enough to mix evenly. Pour batter in prepared loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let the cake cool for 10-15 minutes then remove from pan and remove the parchment paper. Cool on a baking rack completely before storing. Dust the top of the cake with the 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, by tapping the edge of your spoon gently over the cake.
