This summer treat gives the benefits of green tea, fruit, and protein, without the sugar and fat of the commercial version. It is a light meal in itself. Ingredients

    1/2 teaspoon macha (powdered green tea)
    1 cup lowfat vanilla soymilk (can substitute nonfat milk for a dairy version)
    2 tbsp (1 oz) soy protein powder (can substitute whey protein for dairy version)
    1 tbsp sugar free blackberry or peach jam, OR 1/2 cup chilled or frozen melon chunks
    4 - 5 small ice cubes

Directions

Blend all ingredients at high speed. Garnish with fruit such blackberries or a small melon chunks, skewered on a toothpick. One could top this with 2 teaspoons of a nondairy whipped topping, swirl of nondairy coffee creamer, each of which would add 15 - 20 calories per serving.
