Introduction

Basic Spaghetti Sauce which can be made into chili when you add kidney beans Basic Spaghetti Sauce which can be made into chili when you add kidney beans
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1.5 lb lean ground beef, browned
    4 medium stalks celery, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 tbsp oregano
    2 tsp chili powder
    2 tsp paprika
    2 tsp black pepper
    1 large clove garlic
    1 - 28 oz canned stewed tomatoes
    1 - 5.5 oz tomato paste
    2 cups water

Directions

Brown Ground Beef, drain and then rinse with warm water. Chop onions & Celery and saute. Add spices, and then add browned ground beef. Cook for a few minutes then transfer to a slow cooker. Add canned tomatoes. tomato paste and water. Stir and then let cook on low for the day. You can also just cook in the pot on the stove for a couple of hours as well.
If I have leftovers I will add kidney beans and some hot chili peppers, and then you have chili.
Makes approximately 8 servings
