Introduction

All the ingredients can be added more or less for your taste or for how many you are serving--mom never measured anything, mom used the V8 juice if the juice from the canned tomatoes was not enough. I added the garlic, mom did not always use garlic when making this. --I sometimes had some red pepper flakes to mine too. My family LOVES this and I make it often. It is so simple but SOOOO good! This is GREAT as leftovers with some warm Italian bread! Yum! Mom made this a lot in the Fall and Winter time our family comfort food, in memory of mom... Ingredients

    1 pound of burger
    1 large onion chopped
    1-2 cans of diced tomatoes with the the juice
    Garlic salt to taste (optional)
    Small box of elbow macaroni
    Salt and Pepper to taste (red pepper if you like).
    V8 Juice (if needed)

Directions

Boil water for macaroni, while that is cooking, brown and cook the burger, other spices and onion. Drain any grease if needed. When meat/onions are done, add the canned tomatoes and keep on warm, and cover. Drain macaroni and mix all together and enjoy! Add V8 juice for more liquid if you like. Bring to the table a tossed salad and some bread and make this a hearty meal. This will serve about 4-6 people depending on the appetite!
