Ingredients

    Flour, white, 2 cup (remove)
    Baking Powder, 2.5 tsp (remove)
    Salt, .25 tsp (remove)
    Butter, unsalted, 1 stick (remove)
    Granulated Sugar, 1.25 cup (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 2 large (remove)
    Banana, fresh, 1 cup, mashed (remove)
    *Whole Milk / Vitamin D, .333 cup (remove)
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp (remove)
    Semisweet chocolate, 1 cup chips (6 oz package) (remove)

Directions

1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat to 350. Line an 8-in sq baking pan with foil sling and grease the foil. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in medium bowl.
2. In lg bowl, beat butter and sugar together with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, 3-6 minutes. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until combined, about 30 seconds. Beat in the banana, milk and vanilla until combined, about 30 seconds.
3. Whisk the flour mixture into the egg/butter mixture by hand until just incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Give the batter a final stir with a rubber spatula to make sure it's thoroughly combined. Scrape batter into prepared pan, smooth the top and gently tap the pan on the counter to settle the batter.
5. Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few crumbs attached, 40-50 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through baking. Let cake cool completely in the pan, 1-2 hours. If desired, remove cake from pan using the foil before serving.
