Introduction

Ingredients

Chicken Broth
Onions
Garlic
Sage
Borage, 1 T minced fresh (if you can find it)
Thyme
Italian Sausage
Canned Tomatoes
Fresh Kale
Olive Oil
Canned or Dry Cannelini Beans
Directions
Saute chopped onion in olive oil until carmelized. Add chopped garlic and saute for a few more minutes. Add sausage sliced into 1/4" rounds. Saute for 5-10 minutes, making sure the sausage is browned on all sides. Add minced sage, thyme, & borage with the Canned tomatoes. Break tomatoes up into smaller pieces with spoon. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Then add Kale, cover, and cook for 20 minutes on low heat.
Optional:
Serve over crusty Sourdough Bread that has been rubbed with garlic and a little olive oil and toasted in the oven at 400 F.
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese on top.
