I use smoked ham hocks but any ham may be used for flavoring. I also add about a TBSP of Mrs. Dash before cooking. I use smoked ham hocks but any ham may be used for flavoring. I also add about a TBSP of Mrs. Dash before cooking.

    Incredible!
DELICIOUS! The flavor was great. I made a few minor adjustments, but the base recipe was fabulous. I added additional garlic, salt, and Tony Chachare's. Everyone in my family loved it including my 12yo who refuses to eat anything that resembles a veggie. LOL. Thanks for a great soup! - 8/4/09

    Very Good
This was very flavorful. I added a can of peas to the end result because I like having whole peas in the soup. I think next time I make it though, I'll halve the recipe. I ended up having it for 8 days straight! - 2/17/09
