Introduction

Very filling and a good source of protein and fiber. The sodium can be reduced by using low sodium broths and fresh tomatoes. I just used what was on hand. Ingredients

    4 cups vegetable broth
    4 cups chicken broth
    12 oz chicken (2 large breasts)
    2 cups chopped carrots
    1 cup chopped onion
    8 oz. whole wheat pasta
    2 cans Great Northern beans
    1 tsp poultry seasoning
    2 tsp chili powder
    garlic powder (to taste)
    black pepper (to taste)

Directions

Makes 10 generous (approx 2 cup) servings.

Use a large pot. Bring broths to a low boil, adding onion, carrots, tomatoes. Cut chicken breasts into one-inch pieces and add to the pot. Drain and rinse beans before adding them. Add in seasonings. Add pasta and cook to desired tenderness.
