Introduction

Not a conventional buttery crisp like most, as I created it to fit my tastes. Fairly healthy. Not a conventional buttery crisp like most, as I created it to fit my tastes. Fairly healthy.

Ingredients

    3 whole Macintosh apples
    2 tsp cinnamon
    ¼ cup rolled oats
    ¾ cup flour (wheat or all-purpose)
    ½ cup brown sugar
    ½ cup white sugar
    ¼ cup water
    1 egg
    1 tbsp melted butter

Directions

1. Core and slice apples and line them in a greased 8x8 baking dish
2. Shake 1/2 tsp cinnamon over the apples
3. Combine oats, flour, egg, and sugar ( ½ cup white, ¼ cup brown sugar), water, and ½ tsp cinnamon in a bowl to form crust
4. Pour mixture over apples and spread out evenly
5. Combine remaining ¼ cup brown sugar with remaining 1 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over the top
6. Drizzle melted butter over mixture
7. Bake 45 minutes at 350°
