Ingredients

    1 can of tomaotes
    1 lb of lentils
    3 carrots
    2 celery stalks
    1 onion
    1 can tomatoe paste
    1/2 cup red wine
    5 cups chicken stock
    basil, 1/2 tsp
    oregano 1/2 tsp
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste

Directions

combine all ingredients in a crock pot. cook on low for 10-12 hours

    I thought the recipe needed at least some oil or meat to make it more hearty & satisfying. I added some diced lo-fat ham and it helped some, but my family still isn't too crazy about this one. - 3/20/07
