Introduction

A lot better tasting and a lot better for you than the canned sauce! Serve it for your special holiday meals. Also delicious on a turkey or cream cheese sandwich! 1 pound fresh cranberries
    2 apples
    2 oranges
    3/4 cups sugar
    1 lemon, juiced (optional)
2 ounces brandy or Grand Marnier (optional)
1 can drained, crushed pineapple (save juice to use if you aren't using liquor)

Directions

Chop the cranberries in a manual food chopper- NOT a food processor. Chop the apples with skins on and the oranges into small cubes. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Allow the flavors to blend overnight or for several hours in the refrigerator. Relish may be frozen.

I am a little confused - you do not cook the cranberries at all? Sounds good but it seems that the cranberries would need to be cooked... I'd like to try it though. - 11/15/08

No, you do not need to cook anything. Chop, toss, and let sit!
