I just threw this together in the slow cooker and it was a hit with my family. I just threw this together in the slow cooker and it was a hit with my family.
Number of Servings: 8

Broccoli, frozen, 1 package (10 oz)
    *Creamed Corn, 2 cup
    Whiting (fish), 3 fillet
    Capers, canned, 125 grams
    Sage, ground, .5 tsp
    Pepper, black, 1 tsp
    Sour Cream, 2 cup
*Campbell's low sodium chicken broth, 4 cup *Lemon Juice, .5 fl oz

Add all the ingredience, exept the sour cream, to the slow cooker and turn on high. Let cook for about 2 hours and turn to low.

Just before serving add the sour cream and mix in.

We ate it just like that. It could be served over rice or potatoes.

I am very interested in this recipe, but need more specifics. Should the fish be totally cooked and flaky after the 2 hours on high, and how long do you keep it on low in cp? - 1/26/18

I think this would be a good base for other crockpot chowders, with some modifications. The capers were really strong and combined with the whiting it was really overwhelming. I liked the idea of serving it over potatoes and using creamed corn. Next time I'll use tilapia and leave out the capers. - 11/5/09
