Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    1 quart water
    1 lb. meat (ground beef or bison, chicken etc.)
    1 onion, diced
    3 white potatoes, diced
    4 cups diced fresh tomatoes or canned
    4 cups okra, cut
    2 cups lima beans
    3 ears of corn (cut kernels off or use equivalent amount of frozen corn kernels)
    seasonings (salt, pepper, bay leaf, thyme; use your imagination)

Directions

Put meat, potatoes, tomatoes, lima beans, okra, onion into a large pot with 1 quart water. Add any seasonings desired (bay leaf, thyme, salt and pepper). Bring to boil and simmer for 4 hours. Add corn kernels and simmer for one more hour.
