Ingredients
-
For the dough:
200gm flour
60gm sugar
1 small egg
1 dash salt
1 dash baking powder (about .25tsp)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp sour cream
-for the topping:
450ml Gelatin
1.5c strawberry halfs
Directions
All ingredients need ot be cooled including the baking dish.
mix the flour with the sugar and dry ingredients, then add the liwuid ones, mix into a smooth dough, but do not kneed for long, otherwise it will be sticky. Put the dough into the fridge for 10 minutes to cool.
Then roll out 2/3 of the dough and put into a 10' round cake dish (do not grease), prick this with a fork several times, so that the steam can ecape during baking. Then roll the remaining dough into a long roll, which you put along the edges of the dough, make sure you smooth it onto the corners of the dough and the sides of the dish.
Bake this at 200'C for 20 minutes,
Then remove from the dish and cool on a rack.
When cool spread the strawberries on top, then spoon the gelatin - it should be geling (getting hard) already - on top.
Put in the fridge to let harden and settle.
Makes 12 pieces
