Introduction

A huge change from the Old chex party mix, for those with a sweet tooth...I know this is not a low fat recipe, however, it is alot better then some of the things that you could be eating at this time of year. Make it if you'd like to, otherwise just skip over it. I made it for my family and still lost weight this week. Ingredients

    8 cups Rice chex cereal
    4 cups Honey Nut Cherrios
2 cups dry roast sunflower seeds
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    1 cup honey

Directions

In a large microwaveable bowl, mix rice chex, honey nut cherrios, sunflower seeds and set aside. In the meantime in a large glass bowl put the honey and stick of butter in the microwave, covered by a piece of wax paper. Cook on high for 3 to 4 minutes until butter is melted and honey is boiling. Immediately pour over cereal mixture, taking care as honey mixture is very hot! Using spatula, stir carefully, making sure honey mixture is coating all pieces of cereal. Place cereal mixture into microwave and cook for 4 minutes, stopping at each minute mark to stir. Remove from microwave and immediately pour onto sheet pans lined with wax paper to cool. Once cool, break apart and store in an air tight container. Makes 56 1/2 cup servings.
