Introduction

I modified the Sparkpeople White Bean Chili because the calories didn't seem to take into account dry beans expanding. Most sites had listed more calories for the dried beans. I also added no-sodium tomatoes to the recipe for flavor and used a slow cooker. This has a lot of flavor and a little more calories. Ingredients

    Navy Beans (Dry), 3 cup
    Tomatoes, red, ripe, canned, whole, no salt added, 1.75 cup (14oz can)
    Onions, raw, 2 medium (2-1/2" dia) (chopped)
    Garlic, 4 clove
    4 ounces chopped chiles
    2 teaspoon Oregano
    2 teaspoon Cumin
    1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
    1/2 teaspoon Cayenne
    8 cups water or broth
    (I used 1/2 root veg broth, 1/2 water)

Directions

Add all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours then low for 1.5 hours. Adjust if necessary as I am new to using a slow cooker.
