Introduction

Low-Calorie snack from the 12 Days of Holiday Cookies Recipe of the Day emails. Could not find this anywhere so I re entered it with a few alterations in times and quantities. Low-Calorie snack from the 12 Days of Holiday Cookies Recipe of the Day emails. Could not find this anywhere so I re entered it with a few alterations in times and quantities.
Number of Servings: 35

Ingredients

    1/2 C canola oil
    1/4 C molasses
    1/2 C Splenda
    1 egg
    2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp ginger
    1/8 tsp cloves
    1 C all purpose flour
    1 C whole wheat flour
    1/4 C sugar

Directions

In bowl, mix oil, molasses, Splenda and egg.
In another small bowl, combine flours, baking soda and spices. Add flour mixture to molasses mixture.
Mix well.

Cover and refrigerate dough for at least 2 hours.

Shape dough into one-inch balls and roll in sugar.
Place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 375 for 6-8 min (my oven runs hot).
Remove from baking sheet immediately.
Makes 30-35 cookies.

    Thanks, I wish I could take credit, but I simply couldn't find it anywhere on the site, so I reentered it, with some adjustments for my oven (which tends to run hot) Saw the original when it came thru as the 12 Days of Cookies Recipe of the Day.
