Ingredients

    3 Tbs Olive OIl
    1 large Onion
    5 cans of crushed tomatoes (32 oz each)
    2 oz of red or rose wine
    1 Lb of Sirloin (10-15% fat)
    1 Tbs of Salt
    1/2 Tbs Black Pepper
    2 Tbs of Garlic Powder
    1 Tsp of Oregano
    4 leaves of dried bay leaf (not chopped)


Directions

Sautee onions in olive oil (on med-high heat) until the onions look slightly clear. Add ground sirloin (turn heat to medium) and brown. (make sure meat you chope up meat like it is almost minced). Add wine and sautee for 2 minutes.

Add cans of crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, garlic and 4 bay leaves (not crushed bay leaves). Stir. Turn the heat back up to med/high until sauce starts to slightly boil. Stir occasionally and then turn heat down to low/medium and cover. Let sauce cook for approximately 2 hours. Remember to stir every 10-15 minutes or so...

Enjoy over any type of pasta. Remove bay leaves after spooning on plates.
