Introduction

Just plain comfort food. Just plain comfort food.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

8 cup whole wheat spaghetti is approx. 1 lb spaghetti
I like to use Arribiata Spaghetti Sauce from Safeway or Harry's brand which "kicks it up a notch." Of course, just salt and pepper to taste.

Directions

Put 4 qts. salted water on to boiil the whole wheat spaghetti. Saute the chopped onion and minced fresh garlic in 2 T olive oil. Add ground beef and break up into pieces as it browns. Add spaghetti sauce and canned tomatoes. Cook spaghetti until tender, about 8 to 10 minutes. Mix spaghetti sauce and spaghetti noodles together, saving a little sauce back to top off your serving. Grate fresh romano cheese over top of individual servings.
