Ingredients

    Flour, whole grain, 1 cup (remove)
    Baking Soda, 1 tsp (remove)
    Salt, .5 tsp (remove)
    Nutmeg, ground, .5 tsp (remove)
    Cinnamon, ground, .5 tsp (remove)
    Butter, salted, 2.5 tbsp (remove)
    Granulated Sugar, .5 cup (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 1 large (remove)
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp (remove)
    Apples, fresh, 2 medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per l (remove)
    Sweet potato, 1 sweetpotato, 5" long (remove)
    Pecans, .5 cup, chopped (remove)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon in small bowl. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Grate in apple and sweep potato, and stir. Add the flour mixture to the potato mixture, mix well. Stir in the nuts. Pour batter into a greased 8 or 9 inch square baking pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool for 5 or 10 minutes in pan, then turn out on rack to cool completely.
