This tasty bread uses no oil! This tasty bread uses no oil!
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    3 cups flour
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp cinnamon
    3/4 tsp baking soda
    2 cups chopped banana
    3 eggs
    1 cup unsweetened applesauce

Directions

Mix everything together except the eggs and oil. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and add applesauce. Add wet to dry mixture and stir well. Grease 2 loaf pans or one bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Check loaf pans at 45 mins as they tend to cook faster than the bundt cake.

    This gets better (like most banana breads) if you make it the day before and leave wrapped in plastic wrap overnight. - 3/13/07
