Introduction
This was a dish that was brought to us after we came home from the hospital from delivering our daughter. I have adapted it somewhat and this has become a staple meal in our family. We always have grilled paprika chicken. You can change the seasonings and cheese blend up to make this dish uniquely yours. Ingredients
-
8 oz. elbow noodles
3 T. butter
3 T. All Purpose Flour
Salt
Pepper
2 c. milk (I use nonfat)
2 c. shredded cheese
Italian Bread Crumbs
Parmesan Cheese
Paprika (or other seasoning)
Directions
Cook macaroni. Meanwhile, melt butter, add flour, salt and pepper. Add milk, stir until warm, then add cheese and stir until melted. Add the cooked macaroni.
Pour mixture into 8x8 baking dish. Top with Italian bread crumbs, shredded parmesan and paprika. Bake until top is crispy (We did it at 350 for 10 minutes). Can be refrigerated for future use (I imagine it can be frozen too, though I've never tried it).
