Another great recipe from my Grandmother! Our Family loves this, and it is a great way to make this kind of meat really tender. We love to have this with mashed potatoes. Ingredients

    3lbs beef round steak. ( or ask for swiss steak at the store)
    1 large onion sliced into thin strips
    1 20-30 ounce can of hunts crushed tomatoes.
    1 cup flour
    salt and pepper

Directions

cut meat into serving size steaks
salt and pepper meat.
coat meat in flour. brown in in olive oil.
place meat into crock pot. cover meat with raw onion. pour crushed tomatoes over meat and onion. cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.

    I added other things like broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms and it was very good. I plan on using the rest of the sauce on pasta for dinner tomorrow. - 5/26/09
