Ingredients

    2 C Flour
    1 tsp Baking Powder
    1/2 tsp Baking Soda
    1 tsp Salt
    1/2 C Shortening (Crisco)
    1 C Sugar in the Raw
    6 Large Eggs
    1 C Mashed Bananas (best very ripe)
    (option) Nuts

Tips

Directions

Cream (blend) 1/2 cup of shortening and 1 cup of sugar, add 6 large eggs (one at a time beating well), add sifted dry ingredients (2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of salt), 1 cup of mashed bananas (nuts can be added if you want). Bake in oven for about an hour at 350 degrees.
