Introduction

I got some deer from a friend and wanted to cook it so my daughter would eat it. She likes it and couldn't really tell it wasn't beef. I got some deer from a friend and wanted to cook it so my daughter would eat it. She likes it and couldn't really tell it wasn't beef.

Ingredients

    2 lb Venison Roast
    2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
4 Medium Carrots (2 Cups 1 inch pieces)
4 Medium Red Potatoes (4 Cups 1 inch pieces)
1 Large Yellow Onion (2 Cups 1 inch pieces)
    1/4 Cup Vinegar
    1- 1 1/2 Tbsp Sea Salt
1 8oz Can No Salt Tomato Paste
4 Stalks Celery (1 Cup 1 inch pieces)
    1/2 tsp dried Oregano Leaves
    1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper

Directions

Makes 8 generous servings.

Put everything except the celery, oregano, and black pepper in a large crockpot. Add enough water to cover everything at least an inch underwater. Cook on high for about three hours then add the other ingredients. Cook at least another two hours to get the meat very tender.
