Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    2 eggs
    3/4 cup milk
    1/2 cup rolled oats
    1 T minced onion (or 1/4 cup chopped fresh onion)
    2 T dried parsley
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp ground sage
    1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    Topping:
    1/4 cup catsup
    2 T brown sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard

Directions

Combine eggs and milk; stir in rolled oats, onion , parsley salt and sage. Add beef and mix well. Pat into a baking pan. Bake 1 hour @ 350. Spoon or pour off excess fat. Combine catsup, brown sugar and mustard. Spread over meat. Return to oven for 10 min. Serves 6

    My boys loved it - said it need a little bit more flavor, so I just whipped up more sauce for them to dip it in - otherwise, very good and easy! - 5/19/09

    I love this and it is almost the same as my mom made. I did substitute the topping for plain old ketchup though as we don't do sugar. Yummy - 3/2/09

    very similar to mine except the oats, which is a Good idea! I use apple cider vinegar and wister sauce in the topping in addition to the ketchup and brown sugar. - 11/6/10
