Ingredients
-
1.25 lb lean ground turkey
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 jar Organic Ragu Garden Veggie
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup chopped onion
Fresh basil
10 oz. Ronzoni Smart Taste Penne Rigate
8 oz. Mozzarella, part-skim
Directions
1. Boil pasta
2. While pasta boils, heat olive oil in a pan and brown onion, garlic & turkey. Add 2-3 leaves of chopped fresh basil. Once cooked, add Organic Ragu sauce.
3. In a rectangular casserole, add the pasta, then the sauce. Mix them together and mixed thru. Then sprinkle the cheese over it.
4. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. If you like your cheese to brown a little, you can broil for a couple of minutes at the end.
Note: I used a whole package of turkey which comes in a 1.25 lb package. I think 1 lb. of turkey would be more than enough. Next time I will also increase the pasta to 12 oz.
