Ingredients
-
2/3 cup flour (wheat, white, or mixed)
1 tsp baking powder
a dash of salt
1 tsp mineral sugar (or brown sugar or honey. You can leave it out if you prefer)
1/2 cup of your favorite milk (soy milk, rice milk, what have you)
1 tsp oil
1 tsp apple cider vinegar (regular vinegar works just fine)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
Directions
First mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together. I like to put them all in a tupperware container and then shake them because it's fun and I like shaking things.
Mix the liquid ingredients, the sugar, milk, oil, vinegar, and vanilla, into the flour. You can first mix them separately if you want, but it doesn't make *that* much difference.
You want a thicker batter. If it seems thin or runny then add some more flour.
Plug in your waffle iron. It takes a few minutes for the baking powder to react with the vinegar.(Wham! Bam! Science in action!)
When the Iron has heated up, the batter is ready for cooking.
Cook.
Eat in the manner that pleases you most.
