Introduction

This is an alternate on the first granola recipe I came up with. I substituted 1 tsbp butter for 1/2 cup of apple sauce. This one is a lot less calories than most granola and low in sugar. Ingredients

    Natural Unsweetened Applesauce, 0.5 cup
    Molasses, 2 tbsp
    Maple Syrup, 1 tbsp
    *natural peanut butter, 8 tbsp
    Oats, 2 cup
    **Flax Seed Meal (ground flax), 4 tbsp
    Almonds, 0.5 cup, sliced
    Cranberries, dried, sweetened (craisins), 0.5 cup
    Coconut, shredded, 0.5 cup

Directions

Makes about 12 (1/2 cup) servings

Melt butter, molasses, maple syrup and peanut butter in a skillet. Add oats and mix together. Add flax seed, almonds and sunflower seeds. Sitr and cook for a few minutes. Turn off heat and stir in raisins and dried cranberries.

Pour mixture onto cookie sheet and cool.
