Ingredients

    2 cups chopped onions
    2 cups chopped green peppers
    1 cup chopped celery
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    2 tbsp. olive oil
    3 (6-ounce) cans tomato paste
    3 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
    9 cups chopped fresh tomatoes
    2 bay leaves
    2 tsp. oregano
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. Mc Kays Beef Style Seasoning

Directions

Saute onions, green peppers, celery, and garlic until tender. Add remaining ingredients, simmer 1 hour. Remove bay leaves. Serve hot. Also freezes well.

  • This is a GREAT recipe!!!! I made a large enough batch to can 19 Qt for the winter. I added Mrs wages Spaghetti seasoning so all I had to do was hot bath the Qts. for 40 min. Thank you!!!! - 8/20/11
