Introduction

This is a modification of the recipe "Honey Baked Lentils" by user CHESSAKAT, modified by FRANKIEFROG. Instead of adding lean ground beef, I used ground turkey. Ingredients

    1 lb ground turkey
    1 cup red lentils
    2.5 cups water
    2 tbsp honey
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp powdered ginger
    1/4 tsp onion powder
    1 tsp lemon & pepper salt
    sprinkle of crushed red pepper
    1 tsp cumin
    2 tsp curry powder

Directions

Brown the ground turkey, drain well. Set aside.

Combine the remaining ingredients in the crockpot, stir well. Add the browned ground turkey.

Cook on low 3-5 hours.

Makes approximately 6 one-cup servings. Serve over whole-grain pasta or brown rice (not included in the nutritional values).
