Introduction
This is a recipe I got from a friend. Since I can't get basmati rice, I had to use Japanese short grain rice. I also used a rice cooker instead of the stove. This is a recipe I got from a friend. Ingredients
-
180g uncooked rice
20g butter
1/3c raisins
400cc broth or bouillon
Directions
Rinse the rice until the water runs clear and let it soak in warm water for 15-30 minutes. Soak the raisins in warm water for about 15-30 minutes as well.
Drain the rice and raisins.
Melt and brown the butter over medium heat in a fry pan. Add the rice. Brown the rice a bit (about 7min).
Add the rice and raisins to the rice cooker pot and pour in the 400cc of broth. Turn on rice cooker.
When the rice is finished cooking, fluff/stir the rice as the raisins have probably floated to the top during cooking.
