Ingredients

    Balsamic vinegar, 1/3 cup
    Honey, 2 tbsp
    2-3 ice cubes
    Olive Oil, 1 tsp
    Thyme, ground, 1/4 tsp
    Oregano, ground, 1/4 tsp
    Mustard Powder, 1/4 tsp


Directions

Heat vinegar and honey on low heat until the mixture thickens. Stir frequently to avoid burning. Remove from heat and add ice cubes.
Add olive oil and herbs. Mix well. Serve immediately or store in refrigerator.

    I've always wanted a recipe for balsamic vinegarette. This is good. - 4/5/09

    Since posting this recipe, I've made a couple of adjustments to it that I like.
    After heating the vinegar and honey together, I cool it down with 2-3 ice cubes. The added water cuts the vinegar just a bit, and cools it down more quickly. I've also added 1/4 tsp of dry mustard to it.
