Introduction

Ingredients

    500g turkey mince
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 large onion, diced
    400g can chopped tomatoes
    1 tsp basil
    1 tsp oregano
    1 tsp dried chilli flakes
    425g can chilli kidney beans
    2 tsps gravy granules (optional)

Directions

Brown the turkey mince in a non-stick pan over a low heat.
Add the garlic and diced onion and cook until onions are transparent.
Add the tomatoes, herbs, spices and kidney beans.
Simmer for 30-40 minutes until the sauce is thickened. If necessary, add a couple of teaspoons of gravy granules to help thicken the sauce and cook for a further 10 minutes.
Serve over boiled rice or with a baked potato and salad.
