Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 cup white flour
    1 cup white whole wheat flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp cream of tartar
    2 1/2 Tbls buttermilk powder
    1 Tbls sugar
    1/2 cup palm oil
    2/3 cup water

Directions

Makes 16 2" biscuits. Preheat oven to 425deg F. Measure all dry ingredients into a large bowl, add palm oil. Cut in until mixture resembles coarse bread crumbs. Add water all at once and mix lightly until a ball forms. Turn out onto floured surface and knead 10 -12 times. Pat until 1/2" thick. Cut biscuts, place in greased tin touching each other. Bake 15 - 20 minutes, until lightly browned on the bottom.
