Introduction

Ingredients

    2 Tbls Olive Oil
    1 Cup Diced Onion
    2 Tsp Minced Garlic
    2 Diced Carrots
    9 Tsp Orrington Low Sodium Beef Flavoring Dissolved in some of the water
    1 Can Diced Tomatoes with juice
    3 Cups Chopped Cabbage
    1 Cup Frozen Peas
    7 Cups Water
    2 Tsp Dried Basil
    1 Tsp Celery Seed
    1 Whole Bay Leaf
    Lite Salt and Pepper to Taste

Directions

Heat up the oil then cook the onions a few minutes, add the garlic and cook a couple more minutes, then add the carrots and cook a few more minutes.

Then add the spices, Basil, Celery Seed, Bay Leaf.

Add the Flavored Water, Diced Tomatoes, Cabbage, and Barley.

Add the peas about 10 minutes before it's finished cooking.

Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer about 50 minutes.

    I made something quite similar, and it was very good. But my recipe mod included barley! - 4/14/20
