Ingredients

1 box of white cake mix (unprepared)
1 stick of margarine, cut into small pieces
1 can of unsweetened pineapple tidbits, drained (use the juice for something else)
1 can of cherry pie filling

Directions

Set oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9X13 cake pan with pan spray. This size of pan yields 16 servings.
Open and drain pineapple. Dump pineapple into prepared cake pan. Pour cherry pie filling over pineapple, mix gently to ensure even distribution in the bottom of the pan.
Pour dry (unprepared) cake mix evenly over the top of the fruit mixture. Top dry cake mix with one stick of margarine (try to space these fairly evenly over the top of the cake)
Bake for 35-45 minutes. This is excellent when served with fat-free whip topping or fat-free icecream. (whip topping and icecream are not included in the nutritional information for this recipe)

My mom used to make this when I was a kid. I had no idea it was that easy. I'm making it for a family gathering this weekend! Thanks. - 1/13/10
