Ingredients

    Kellogg's All-Bran Cereal, 1 cup (1 serving) (remove)
    Granulated Sugar, 1.5 cup (remove)
    Shortening, .25 cup (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 2 large (remove)
    *Buttermilk, 1 cup (remove)
    *Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched, 2.5 cup (remove)
    Baking Soda, 2.5 tsp (remove)
    Salt, .5 tsp (remove)

Directions

Pour 1 cup booiling water onto All-bran and let stand to soften. Cream in 1-1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup shortening, 2 eggs, 1/2 pint buttermilk (can substitute low-fat buttermilk), 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 2-1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt. After thoroughly mixed, you can store this in your refrigerator for up to 6-weeks. Makes twenty-four 1 oz. (pre-cooked) or twelve 2 oz. (precooked) muffins.

Cook for 20 minutes at 350°
