Introduction

This was my mother's favorite soup to have on a cold winter day. This was my mother's favorite soup to have on a cold winter day.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    beef chuck or any inexpensive cut of meat ( about 1 lb.)
    canned crush tomatoes (28 oz can)
    tomato sauce (8 oz can)
    canned beef broth(low fat-low sodium) 2 (14 1/2 oz cans)
    water-4 cups
    salt, pepper & onion salt to taste
    pasta-1 1/2 cups (whatever you have handy)
    Worcestershire sauce to taste

Directions

spray pan with no fat cooking spray. brown meat on both sides, it will finish cooking while broth is simmering. Add tomatoes, broth & water. Add seasonings to taste, let simmer for about 3 to 4 hours-meat will start to fall apart by then. Take out meat and bring liquid to a boil-then add pasta until cooked until desired tenderness. Makes 12 1-cup servings.
