Introduction

Ingredients

    S&W White Beans (lightly seasoned) 1 3/4cup
    Great Northern Beans 1 3/4 cup
    chopped onion, 1
    Garlic Clove, 2 minced
    Diced Green chile 4 oz.
    Oregano, ground, 2 tsp
    Cumin seed, 1 1/2 tsp
    Pepper, red or cayenne, .1/4 tsp
    Water, 1c

Directions

Add ingredients to pot. Heat to boiling, reduce to simmer and cook about 1 hr or until sauce thickens.

I served mine over brown rice topped with 1/4 c shredded mexican blend cheese.

    Making the chili right now, so I can't rate it. Just wanted to say that if you cook your own beans, you can lower the sodium significantly. - 3/29/10
