Ingredients
-
1 cup pasta, shells
1/2 cup Ricotta cheese, fat-free
1 cup Milk, fat-free
1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
2 tbsp Bread crumbs, dry, seasoned
1/2 cup Broccoli, fresh, chopped
Directions
You will need to preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and gather one medium/large bowl, one pot for cooking the macaroni, one pot for making the milk mixture (or use the same as for the macaroni), and one bread loaf pan. Use whatever utensils you have at hand for mixing.
1. Cook macaroni until tender. Drain and place in medium or large bowl.
2. Add ricotta cheese to macaroni. Mix and set aside.
3. Heat milk until bubbles form on the surface (not boiling). Remove from heat.
4. Add cheddar cheese and chopped broccoli. Stir until cheese has mostly melted.
5. Add milk mixture to macaroni. Mix well.
6. Pour the macaroni and cheese into the pan. Add bread crumbs to the top. (Note: you may want to add more cheese to the top. If you do, please remember to factor that into your caloric intake as it is not included here).
7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
